#7 - Matthew Britton is an emerging artist and curator based in the Rhondda, South Wales. His work deals with the virtual world and it’s affects upon artistic practice, he often employs the use of memes and internet phenomena as a part of his materials and subject matter.
For his edition Matthew has delved into the realm of WiFi zones and the annoyance (or even rage) involved in the urbanite who finds himself stuck in a No WiFi Zone. Loophole #7 operates as a pseudo-instruction manual offering a solution that involves both common sense and absurdity. The edition explores ideas around place and how we interact with it in a culture now embedded within a virtual world.
